Background
There have been many researches over the years with the conclusion on how meditation benefits the body, emotions and mental functioning. This meditation app, BeHere, is designed with the intent to bring those benefit to people that’s easily accessible, 24/7, right on their smartphone.
The biggest take away from the user research showed that people understand the benefits but feel that they just don’t have enough time in the day to spare and meditate because their life is too busy. Therefore, this app is focused on offering shorter meditation sessions that’s very simple and easy to use that would delight and provide the best user experience.
User Research
The results of my survey revealed that the participants all complained that they don’t have enough time and would like options to do really short session but also have the options to do a 20-minute sessions to get the full benefit of meditation.
Competitive Analysis
I looked at 3 most popular meditation apps, Headspace, Calm, and Simple Habit to do a competitive analysis. All 3 apps had good user flow and experience, with similar offers but each had one unique differentiator.
